Hello

[ SCSI-ID ]

> Its detecting correctly

Your Adaptec-Controller does not allow any device-configuration.
Even if it's bad: The good thing is, that you can't do
anything wrong with the configuration. :-)

OK - so your Scanner is detected properly at boot time
It's ID is > 1.
find-scanner reports that it found your Artec.
The Permissions are set correctly.
Even scanimage -h -d artec:/dev/sga reports your scanner.

What do you get, if you set debugging?
(export SANE_DEBUG=10 and something like
export SANE_ARTEC_DEBUG=10 - sorry, I've got no
Artec so I can't tell you from memory the exact
value, but they are documented)
Then use:

scanimage --mode Grayscale -t 0 -l 0 -x 50 -y 50 >/test.pnm 2>errormessage
(GreyScale or GrayScale or Greyscale - depends on the
output of scanimage -h -d artec:/dev/sga)

Does the Scanner move? Do you get the file test.pnm?

What does the errormessage look like?

Regards
Wolfgang
