<P>some backends do return invalid pointers when sane_get_option_descriptor
|
|
<BR>
|
|
is called with a negative option (if only tests for <max_options and not for >=0).
|
|
<BR>
|
|
<P>Although xsane will have no problems with that with the next version (0.57)
|
|
<BR>
|
|
it is not nice if the frontend gets an invalid pointer. xscanimage and xsane
|
|
<BR>
|
|
do use the option number -1 to define a not supported well known option.
|
|
<BR>
|
|
<P>Please could every backend author make sure that only a valid pointer or NULL
|
|
<BR>
|
|
is returned.
|
