> > > I am tring to make sane-1.00 on FreeBSD and getting the following error:
> >
> > Are you using GNU make? The makefile contains the % operator which isn't
> > understood by the *BSD make.
>
> I downloaded GNU make and that did the trick. I did run in to one little
> problem with the file backend/dc210.c at line 344. TCSBKP is not defined.
> I will be tring the new build when I get home tonight. THANKS for you
I was able to get the scanner to scan in gray mode. It took me sometime
and a couple of reboot to get that far. I have a Microtek 600ZS. If I
try to scan in color, the scanner head move all the way to the end and
returns. I then get a device buzy error. There is no output from
scanimage as it is scanning. The Microtek support page said this is a
single pass scanner. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

FYI: To get the scanner to work in gray mode, I have to turn parity
checking off on the SCSI card.
