> becka> Isn't there a third option about "alternate-correction" or
> becka> something ? I.e. turning on the FW 1.00 correction method ?
>
> The 1.00 correction is autodetected. The particulars are:
>
> /* Revision 1.00 of the MFS-12000SP firmware is buggy and needs
> this workaround. Maybe others need it too, but this one is
> for sure. We know for certain that revision 1.02 or newer
> has this bug fixed. */
> if (fw_revision < 0x102)
> dev->flags |= MUSTEK_FLAG_LD_MFS;
> else
> dev->flags |= MUSTEK_FLAG_LD_NONE;

Could you make this an option ? At best defaulting to autodetect but
allowing to set/unset it in the mustek.conf ?

I have heard of 1.02 and up scanners working at least better with the
1.00 correction ... ouch ... someone should shoot the responsible person
at Mustek ...
