I've got a minor Problem with my Mustek-1200-SP scanner:<br>
|
||
It doesn't report its correct identity, but instead it reports<br>
|
||
(from /var/log/boot.msg)<br>
|
||
Vendor: SCANNER Model: Rev: 1.05<br>
|
||
<4> Type: Scanner ANSI SCSI revision: 01<br>
|
||
CCS<br>
|
||
find-scanner reports:<br>
|
||
SCANNER 1.05" at device /dev/scanner (two blanks between ´SCANNER' and<br>
|
||
'1.05')<br>
|
||
If I have a larger string-input, it reports:<br>
|
||
SCANNER 1.05MUSTEK MFS-12000SP<br>
|
||
As a logical consequence using the scanner for copying will drop some<br>
|
||
lines - this seems to be a weakness of Mustek.<br>
|
||
By the way: I've bought the scanner from our biggest distributor<br>
|
||
( VOBIS ) - they seem to get a special version.<br>
|
||
<p>
|
||
How can I get full advantage of my scanner?<br>
|
||
