I am still trying to get my Canon 300 scanner working.

When I boot Linux, I get the following messages:

aha152x: BIOS test: passed, detected 1 controller(s)
aha152x0: vital data: PORTBASE=0x140, IRQ=9, SCSI ID=7, reconnect=enabled,
parity=enabled, synchronous=disabled, delay=100, extended translation=disabled
aha152x: trying software interrupt, ok.
scsi1 : Adaptec 152x SCSI driver; $Revision: 1.7 $
scsi : 2 hosts.
Vendor: CANON Model: IX-03035B Rev: 2.01
Type: Scanner ANSI SCSI revision: 02

When I run find-scanner (as root) from Sane 1.0.1, no scanner is found, however.

What could be wrong?

The primary requisite for any new tax law is for it to exempt enough
voters to win the next election.
