Hello everybody,<br>
<p>
I'm new to this list (well except that I read some of the mailing <br>
list archive on mostang.com so I know that my problem is not<br>
completely new) and I hope that this is the right place to ask:<br>
My scanner is a Mustek Paragon 12000SP firmware revision 1.02.<br>
It seems that my mustek scanner has trouble doing color scans with <br>
sane.<br>
I tried the supplied SCSI card as well as an Adaptec 1505 controller<br>
- both with the same problem. So I think my problem is not a <br>
generic SCSI problem but a driver problem.<br>
The problem manifests itself in generally shifted colors (red becomes<br>
blue, blue becomes green and green becomes red) with a few horizontal<br>
black and grey lines wherever the scanner stopped during the scans.<br>
This happens above a certain resolution - somewhere about half the <br>
line distance of the scanner - so I guess it has something to do <br>
with line distance correction (though it's not _exactly_ where the <br>
sane driver's line distance correction comes into action but 2 or 3 <br>
dpi later).<br>
Nevertheless I tried to disabled the line distance correction in the<br>
sane mustek driver but as you may have though already without effect.<br>
Is there anything else I could try? I suspect the scanner itself of<br>
trying some broken (or at least misplaced) line distance correction. <br>
But how can I disable it? Any help would be appreciated.<br>
