ok i've had an attempt at doing this. everything basically works, but<br>
there are a couple of problems.<br>
<p>
first off, i'm not sure how to (safely) determine if the device is a<br>
scsi device or an hpscan device. i'm worried that if i start throwing<br>
scl directly at a scsi interface nasty things might happen.<br>
<p>
also, the hp driver is very scsi oriented and, without completely<br>
restructuring it, the hpscan/hporig stuff is always going to be, erm,<br>
less than elegant.<br>
