 Dear fellow scanners,<br>
 I am wondering about buying a digital camera, but most of them<br>
 has only Windows support. In addition USB ports are also used,<br>
 and USB support in Linux is still somewhat limited.<br>
 <p>
 Downloading image files from camera are somewhat different from<br>
 scanning, but it might be a SANE function to handle files from<br>
 cameras. Another option would be a plugin for GIMP, but this<br>
 might be a bit complicated ?<br>
 <p>
 With the rapid growth of Linux one would expect some suppliers<br>
 to write drivers for their cameras ? <br>
