<P>I found out some Values that are interesting for scanning negatives
|
|
<BR>
|
|
when your scanner uses analog highlight and shadow functions
|
|
<BR>
|
|
(e.g. umax Powerlook III).
|
|
<BR>
|
|
<P>The values are defined for a range 0% - to 100% where this
|
|
<BR>
|
|
range does cover the full intensity range:
|
|
<BR>
|
|
<P><P>Negative ---- highlight ---- ------ shadow ------
|
|
<BR>
|
|

|

|

<P>The values are not exact but they are a good starting position.

<P>When only one highlight/shadow value for gray/intensity is available

you should use the maximum (normally red) value of the highlight list

|
and the minimum value (normally blue=0%) of the shadow list.
|
|
<BR>
|
|
