> Is the firmware 1.00 or is it 38.00 ???????
Depends if you look at /proc/scsi/scsi or the result of SANE_DEBUG...

I'd opt for a thing like V100/38, to include on the supported scanner
page.

If I remember well (I trashed that output) running DEBUG=3 with scanimage
gave me the XCO6 S12IDWtrailingcharshere, and promted me to stick my
nose into the sources. I suppose I must add this to mustek.h and
mustek.c, but is there something else to do ?

> Did I purchase a very old model or a very new one ????

A very new old model ?-)
> thousand thanks to Olivier Poulet. I already
> informed another linux-user who had the same
> problems with 12000SP like me.

My pleasure. Beware, don't confuse the 12000SP and 12000SP Plus, as I
bought this scanner as I thought it was directly supported by
SANE... well now it will be :-)

Now I have to figure out why xsane can't find libsane-dll.so.1 when it's
available...
