First, don't mind for my poor english,<br>

resume the situation:<br>
|
|
- freshly installed a mandrake 6.0 distribution<br>
|
|
- used a tekram DC390 SCSI card<br>
|
|
- an UMAX astra 1220S V1.5 scanner<br>
|
|
<p>
|
|
the scanner is corectly recognized by the driver,<br>
|
|
cat /proc/scsi/scsi says:<br>

When I'm trying to scan an image,<br>
|
|
the scanner whirr during a few seconds then nothing.....<br>
|
|
the console is hang up, I proceed a "CTRL-C" to free the command line.<br>
|
|

The scanner work fine under win 95.....<br>
|
|
<p>
|
|
I searched on the newsgroup to see an indentical problem, but nothing, <br>
|
|
I hope,;I am not the only one on this world to have this problem !!!!!<br>
|
|

|
|
