This is my first contribution to SANE, so pardon me if I'm doing this<br>
|
||
wrong, but I've written a small program to monitor the status of the<br>
|
||
green button on the front of select HP scanners. When you press the<br>
|
||
button, it'll run the scanning software of your choice. The 5P and<br>
|
||
5100Cse have this green button, others do too, but I haven't tested this<br>
|
||
program on them. The program is posted at:<br>

(I'm in the middle of a server move, so if the link doesn't work, post a<br>
|
||
message on this mailing list, and when I see your post, I'll tell you<br>

If other people that own HP scanners with the green button could<br>
|
||
download my program and test it with their scanner, and then mail me<br>
|
||
back their results, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm not sure if it'll<br>
|
||
work on scanners besides the 5100C. The program is still under<br>
|
||
development, as I'd like to include other user friendliness features<br>
|
||
into it, but it does work right now.<br>
|
||

||
This program could possibly be included in the tools/ directory of the<br>
|
||
SANE distribution. Maybe people will find it to be of use?<br>
|
||
