Ive noticed that on boot I get...

aha152x: processing commandline: ok
aha152x: BIOS test: passed, detected 1 controller(s)
aha152x0: vital data: PORTBASE=0x340, IRQ=11, SCSI ID=7, reconnect=enabled,
parity=enabled, synchronous=disabled, delay=100, extended translation=disabled
aha152x: trying software interrupt, ok.
scsi0 : Adaptec 152x SCSI driver; $Revision: 1.7 $
scsi : 1 host.
Vendor: ULTIMA Model: AT6 Rev: 1.01
Type: Scanner ANSI SCSI revision: 02
Detected scsi generic sga at scsi0, channel 0, id 1, lun 0
scsi : detected total.

my question now lies in the "synchronous=disabled" there is a jumper the card
to enable/disable synchronous negotiation, but no matter how I set the jumper I
still get "synchronous=disabled" in the boot mesg.

Could this be some of my problem? I really am new with scsi so I really dont
know much about it. And what about termination. Is there more I need to buy
other than my card scanner and cable? Im assuming not as the scanner/card work
under Win98.
