The following messages could be used as a standard reply to manufacturers<br>

who want SANE to support their product:<br>

||
In order to have the SANE development team to support your device(s) there<br>
|
||
are three requirements:<br>
|
||
<p>
|
||
1. A willing programmer (or willing programmers).<br>
|
||
2. Proper documentation.<br>
|
||
3. Access to actual devices by the programmers to do tests during<br>
|
||
development.<br>
|
||
<p>
|
||
We may propably solve issue 1 if you can help us at least on issue 2. as<br>
|
||
far as issue 2 is concerned we would like to have access to technical<br>
|
||
documentation as far as the interface (SCSI/USB/PPA) is concerned.<br>
|
||
Preferably under NDA but at least without putting restrictions on the<br>
|
||
resulting source coude. (See the GPL for details.)<br>
|
||
<p>
|
||
If you can throw in issue 3 as well the likelyhood of finding a<br>
|
||
programmer in the SANE team will increase substantially.<br>
|
||
