Hi,

> Here, linux doesn't see neither Iomega, nor Scanner.

Linux usually wants to drive the hardware as fast as possible, so maybe
it's using synchronous Fast-SCSI (10MHz) whereas Windows uses asynchronous
SCSI (5MHz), so a wrong termination or cable length are more likely to make
problems with Linux. Since you said that the latter setup works in
Windows, it's not a problem with the SCSI IDs.

In the second setup, the SCSI card and the scanner must be terminated, and
the ZIP not. If it's really using Fast-SCSI, the total cable length must
be no more than 3 meters. Some scanners have internal terminators that are
only working when the device is switched on (I have a SCSI chain that looks
exactly like yours, and the ZIP is generating all kinds of errors if the
scanner is switched off, it works flawlessly once the scanner is switched
on).

> So I've discarded that there is a problem with the SCSI card. Is this
> assumption correct?

Yes. But check the termination on the card.

Regards,
Ingo
