Hi Matteo,<br>

from below I see that you are using Linux 2.0.35 with Adaptec AIC-7850<br>
SCSI-card and Linux 2.0.30 with Adaptec AHA 1740 and you told that both<br>
Linuxes are crashing about once a day when sane or hpscanpbm are<br>
running.<br>
Since it does not happen all times, I suppose it is a SCSI problem.<br>
Maybe someone here in the SANE list knows about problems with these<br>
SCSI cards ? Or is someone using them successfully with HP scanners ?<br>
