However we should _not_ encourage the use of SANE with a "all drivers <br>
|
|
included" version of saned.conf . It might be nice for probing, but <br>
|
|
other than that it causes unnecessary overhead _and_ is known to cause <br>
|
|
hangs. I always cursed SuSe for default-installing such a "complete"<br>
|
|
saned.conf (though their configuration tool _ASKS_ for the scanner type).<br>
|
|
<p>
|
|
I usually leads to Umax (or was it microtek) type scanners making the <br>
|
|
HP backend hang forever. Setting up saned.conf correctly cures this.<br>
|
