> The hardware list doesn't include it, so I'm assuming it is not
> supported.
>
> As I have some experience with device drivers in general, and scanners
> in
> particular, I would like to offer my help if such a driver is being
> done, either
> as coder os as a tester.
>
I've got a similiar problem. I will eventually buy a Dysan DY9612
scanner.
(I think that it´s also sold as Memorex SCF 9612P or something like
that...)

Linux support is however a necessity for me and since SANE is not
supporting the scanner today I guess I will have to write a driver.

Since my english ain't to good I wonder if anyone would like to help me
compose a mail that I can send to Memtek/Memorex/Dysan (I think that
Memtek owns the compaines Memorex and Dysan and sells the scanner
under two different names.... :-) I will do some furture research in
this
before contacting them....) asking for specifications.

/Klas
