A couple of weeks ago somebody pointed me to the
mustek.[ch]-0.3 backend drivers. Now I can use
my 1200 III SP. Thanks!

But I still have a problem: color registration
is inconsistent. Sometimes when using xscanimage
the image has a noticeable (2-3 pixel) red "ghost".
(To get a similar effect in the GIMP, decompose an
image into RGB, offset the red separation upwards
by a couple of pixels, and compose the separations
back together.)

This doesn't happen on every scan. Scanning the
same images on the same scanner under Win95, I never
see this effect.

Am I missing a driver configuration parameter?
Suggestions?

Thanks for any help.
