Hello,

I am very happy, that there is now for Linux a usefull scanner-interface -
congratulation for your effort.

But I have a Problem accessing my Mustek Scanner 600 II CD (DATA Follows:)

Scanner name: Mustek 600 II CD
Scanner model: MFC-06000CZ (flatbed scanner; 1-pass; SCSI-Port)
Firmware revision: 2.01

SCSI-host: Dawicontrol DC-2974 (Fast-SCSI)
Scanner ID: ID6

DATA from scanimage -y:
=======================

With the command scanimage -y 292 (maximum - higher value was not accepted)
I get the following DATA:

P5
#Sane DATA Follows
154 207
255

I don't know if my appeared problem is the typical Mustek-
Scanner-exceeding-the-maximum-scan-height-problem.

I found the following symptomes:
The scanner works well with the xscanimage-frontend when I use the
preview-option or when I scan (normal) with a resulution of 100.

But as I try to scan a A4-picture with 200 (for example) or higher
resolution, then the scanner doesn't stop at the end of the maximum (a4)
scan-height but tries to scan above it and so damages the rope-mechanism.

I found out, that if I scan a small picture using the preview window and than
mark the area I want to scan, everythig works well if I use the resolution of
100.
But as I tried to use the resolution of 300 then the scanner doesn't only scan
the marked area but also 1 cm (c.a.) beyond it (white space after the picture).
The longer the marked area, the more was scanned beyond it.

I hope you have a solution for my problem

Thank you for your efford.

Greetings

Heiko Adam
