Hi Oliver,

> > - The scan area apparently miss ~1 cm on the left side of the picture.
> That is very strange! Did you have this problem in other sane-versions?

I went back to 0.69, 0.68 and even 0.67, and still have this strange
bug... Then, I turned the scanner off and on again. Now, it only miss
about 2 mm from the left margin. I think I will drop the scanner on the
left side throught the window, to fix this... :-) You can forget this
bug.

By the way, before doing 'make install' on a PREVIOUS release of sane, I
need to remove /usr/local/lib/libsane* by hand. If I skip this step, the
old frontends use the new backends, and this is sometimes funny. This is
not really a problem, as downgrading is not a user normal process. But
while testing new backends, one often need to go back :-) Anybody get
the same trouble ?

> > - The PNM files produced by [x]scanimage miss some data at the end.
> This should be solved in the new version on my homepage!

Apparently, this is fixed now. Sometimes I see some color lines at the
end of the picture, but not every time. I will have a closer look at
this, to check if this came from the photographe or from the scanner.

Ready to test other resolutions :-)

Nicolas.
