I've wrote a SANE frontend for K Desktop Environment (KDE,<br>
|
|
<a href="http://www.kde.org">http://www.kde.org</a>), kscan. To compile it, you need KDE libraries and Qt<br>
|
|
library (<a href="http://www.troll.no">http://www.troll.no</a>).<br>
|
|
It supports brightness/contrast adjustment without rescanning the<br>
|
|
preview image, i.e. it emulates scanner's brightness/contrast options.<br>
|
|
Also there are another useful features, such as gamma correction and<br>
|
|
zooming preview image.<br>
|
|
Current version is 0.1 alpha. Locations:<br>

Most likely this version can only work with flatbed scanners.<br>

I could only test it with my computer and my scanner (HP ScanJet 5p<br>

connected to<br>

BusLogic FlashPoint LT SCSI card). Please report both successful and<br>
|
|
unsuccessful<br>
|
|

I saw there a message about auto brightness/contrast adjustment. I<br>

|
think it is<br>

based on correcting the image histogram (centering/widening maybe). I'll<br>
|
|
try to<br>
|
|
include this feature in 0.2.<br>
