Ah, the great Astra 610 scanner. :\<br>
|
||
<p>

||
Does anyone know of a problem like this. About half the time when I try<br>
|
||
to scan an image (even in line-art or grayscale) with the 610S, it locks<br>
|
||
up just as it is finishing the scan.<br>
|
||
<p>
|
||
I am using a T130B SCSI card to connect the scanner to.<br>
|
||
<p>
|
||
It seems that, just as the scan is finishing, instead of writing the file<br>
|
||
and exiting, the scan light just keeps blinking and the system locks up.<br>
|
||
I don't know what the cause of the lockup is, but it sure is irritating.<br>
|
||
<p>
|
||
I wouldn't mind so much if the xscanimage process would freeze, but it<br>
|
||
hangs the entire system, that won't do since this is a multiuser machine.<br>
|
||
<p>
|
||
Is there a patch I can use, or a SCSI timeout I can set, or something,<br>
|
||
that will either prevent this lockup or allow me to recover?<br>
|
||
