Should be the followup of Epson Perfection 1670, maybe similar chipset (*not* sure, only information from Epson Website).

The 2480 and 2580 seem to use the same USB ids. The 2580 seems to have an addidtional 35 mm film feeder.

There is some indication that the scanner might be suppurted by the SnapScan backend in future.

If you know that the scanner is similar to another one (e.g. supported by the same Windows driver), please also mention this fact.
