2004-04-10: sane-backends is in feature freeze for 1.0.14 now. If no grave bugs are found, code freeze will be at 2004-04-24. The release is planned for 2004-05-01. Please test our sane-backends-1.0.14-pre1 snapshot and report any bugs you find.

2004-04-09: A snapshot of sane-frontends 1.0.12 is available for download. Please test and report any bugs to the bug tracking system. If no new bugs are found, 1.0.12 will be released soon.

2004-03-24: All servers should be working again.

2003-12-13: SANE celebrates its 7th birthday! The first official release (0.3) was announced Fri, 13 Dec 1996 by David Mosberger-Tang

• New backends: mustek_pp_ccd and plustek_pp (both splitted from existing backends)
• Updated backends: avision, canon630u, coolscan, epson, fujitsu, gphoto2, gt68xx, hp, hp5400, mustek, mustek_pp, pie, plustek, snapscan, teco2, test, umax, umax_pp.
• Build system improvements
• Portability updates including port to MS Windows (Cygwin)

• Translation updates and new translations: Bulgarian, Czech and Italian
