Support for Parallel Mustek scanners

I've readen in the past that there was a work going on with the parallel mustek
scanners.
What is it's status?

I have a Mustek 6000P scanner. I've downloaded the latest drivers for Mustek
(of course for windows 95) and the driver it installed is a "Flatbed Scanner
EPP II". Does this means that all EPP II Mustek sanners share the same drivers?
Will my scanner be supported in the future?
