+       <B>SANE_DEBUG_NIASH</B>
+              If the library was compiled with  debug  support  enabled,  this
+              environment  variable controls the debug level for this backend.
+              Higher debug levels increase the verbosity of the output.

+              Example: export SANE_DEBUG_NIASH=255
+
