								Hello all,<br>

								<p>

								Is there a preferred method of how to support multiple models within one <br>

								backend? <br>

								<p>

								I have a Canon IX-4015 scanner which I can use now due to some help from<br>

								Helmut Koeberle. However this requires a slightly changed initialisation<br>

								(two assignments less).<br>

								<p>

								I have had a short look at other backends too, to see how they handle<br>

								multiple models, but I don't know what is the best (or preferred) method<br>

								to use.<br>

								<p>

								Should I just add a field which is a enumaration of all models, or is it<br>

								better to have an enumeration of the capabilities? Or maybe both...<br>

								<p>

								I would like to hear your suggestions.<br>

								<p>

								Regards,<br>
