We also use a NCR53C810 for the scanner and a NCR/SymbiosLogic 53C860 for our<br>
|
|||
|
|
other SCSI devices. The scanner is a Microtek Scanamker E6 which doesn't<br>
|
|||
|
|
support SCSI-2 disconnect/reselect. However, this is exactly why we use two DMA<br>
|
|||
|
|
bus master cards. The card that comes with the scanner (aha152x )isn't bus<br>
|
|||
|
|
master capable. We are also using the BSD driver and the use of the two SCSI<br>
|
|||
|
|
controllers solved our disk access problems perfectly. So, maybe the first<br>
|
|||
|
|
person needs a SCSI BIOS upgrade or something. Just to make sure: The scanner<br>
|
|||
|
|
is attached to the NCR53C810 and the rest to the NCR/SymbiosLogic 53C860.<br>
