Did you compile generic SCSI support into your kernel? Do your boot messages specify to which generic SCSI <br>
|

|
device the scanner is assigned?<br>

||

Here is what I get upon booting:<br>

i.e. you shouldn't have to guess the generic SCSI device.<br>
