This is a message I sent to the quickcam driver list, xcam is the only
thing that even grabs a screen from this thing ( checked under windows
and works fine )

Everything else just seams to hang when trying to read from it. I've
tried stock redhat 5.2 2.0.36 kernels and 2.1.131 with paraport and
video4linux both in and out, still the same problem.

Thanks in advance.
Ok, I've tried sane's xcam and xqcam and qcam and cqcam.

xcam grabs one frame and then goes into a loop or some such situation,
sucking up cpu cycles and has to be killed with -9

all the qcam utils will start reading and then stop, minutes go by with
no fram grabed.

Is this a port problem? I mean it got one good frame in xcam, so I
assume the thing is hooked up right.

The box is running linux 2.1.131 with the video4linux included, which
detects the camera ok.

I checked the redhat list, and this was mentioned, but there was never
an answer. I got a referal to the linux quick cam site, and thus here.

Any ideas?
