> Hello,
>
> I tried to run xsane-1.14 on linux 2.0.36. What I have done
> configure
> make
> make install all without errors.
> When I try to run xsane it not finds libsane-dll.so.1.0.0
> I also tried to set LD_LIBRARY_PATH to the installed libs at compile and
> runtime with no success.
>
> Sane-1.00 is completley installed. If I build xsane-0.13 from within
> sane and say make install it will run.
> Some ideas?
>
> Additional information for Oliver. On my unixware 2.x box xsane-0.14
> compilesand runs without problems. It seems the C++ comments in the
> source code are gone. Thanks.
Hi Wolfgang,

edit /etc/ld.so.conf and add the path to the sane-libs
(normally /usr/local/lib/sane)
and then call as root
ldconfig

then retry (you don`t need to compile xsane again)!

Bye
Oliver
