Wolfgang,

When you had your friends Vuego 310S scanner, did you happen to note
what information your SCSI bios reported? I'm working on the Acer 310S
(and getting nowhere fast) and think that info would be useful. When I
scan the SCSI bus my scanner shows up as vendor "Color", model
"FlatbedScanner_4" and firmware rev. "0114". There is no mention of
"Acer" or "310S". Find-scanner reports the same info and at boot the
scanner is identified only as generic sge at scsi0, channel 0, id 6,
lun 0 (correctly). Where do the SANE modules get there scanner
information? Also, what is the correct command line syntax for
invoking xscanimage with the Vuego 310S scanner at /dev/sge or
/dev/scanner?

Thanks
