I have a page for the Plustek driver itself (although I haven't added
anything about the SANE backend... but this is coming soon, as soon as I
have time to update the page)... http://www.weevil.net/plustek/

Sorry the page is so out of date, but I've been overloaded with school
work, and I've got a few thousand emails that have piled up to go through.
So... I'll probably get to the page next week.
> David,
>
> Unfortunately my ISP only gives me 500 kbytes for my home page and
> I'm out of room. So I won't be able to do a home page for it.
> Sorry. If you have room....
>
> Thanks,
>
> > Rick> Hi SANE developers, We have been working to provide a SANE
> > Rick> backend for the Plustek 4830P scanner. Plustek graciously
> > Rick> gave us their code to play with and then we found we had to
> > Rick> port it to a kernel mode driver to make it work reliably. We
> > Rick> are looking for alpha testers to see what we have missed in
> > Rick> out port. Note that this backend differs from every other
> > Rick> SANE backend in that it incorporates a kernel mode driver.
> >
> > Rick> Please check it out at http://www.efn.org/~rick/pub and tell
> > Rick> us what you think.
> >
> > Nice work!
> >
> > If you put together a descriptive web page for this backend, could you
> > let me know so I can add a pointer to it to the SANE home page?
> >
> > Thanks,
