I am looking for people using a Primax Colorado scanner, and whish to use it<br>
|
|||
|
|
with Linux. I've asked Primax (www: <a href="http://www.primax.nl">http://www.primax.nl</a> eMail:<br>
|
|||
|
|
<a href="mailto:support@primax.nl">support@primax.nl</a>) several times for information about the protocol used by the<br>
|
|||
|
|
scanner. They always told me that they can't give away some specs, so writing a<br>
|
|||
|
|
driver for Linux is a quite hard thing. They are also not willing to write an<br>
|
|||
|
|
own driver for Linux/UNIX and as the main reson they put forward there were not<br>
|
|||
|
|
enough requests for doing this. So I just wanted to find some people who are<br>
|
|||
|
|
wishing to support me and if there are enough (perhaps more than 5 or so...) I<br>
|
|||
|
|
am going to start another mailing together with them towards Primax...<br>
|
|||
|
|
Guys who are able to find out something about the protocol by reverse<br>
|
|||
|
|
engeneering the Primax drivers or by grabbing and decoding things on the<br>
|
|||
|
|
parallel line between computer and scanner or whatever they can contribute are<br>
|
|||
|
|
very welcome, of course.<br>
|
|||
|
