Is there a place where the network protocol is defined (framing bytes,
packet header, etc.) for the sane-net?
>Hi Richard,
>
>>>>>> On Sat, 16 May 1998 11:05:28 -0600, Richard Stallman
> Richard> We'd like to make a link to a page about SANE. Can one of
> Richard> you tell me what URL to use?
>
>http://www.mostang.com/sane/ would be best.
>
> Richard> Also, could the main developer of SANE please send me
> Richard> email?
>
>I'm currently maintaining the package.
>
> Richard> By the way, in some info about SANE that I got in the mail,
> Richard> I noticed a reference "commercial back ends". I wonder,
> Richard> when you say "commercial", do you mean not free software?
> Richard> If so, it would be a good idea not to call them
> Richard> "commercial", because it isn't the same thing. Please see
> Richard> http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/categories.html for an
> Richard> explanation of the difference.
>
>Good point. I changed http://www.mostang.com/sane/intro.html to make
>clearer what I meant.
