Supported Targets ESP32 ESP32-C3

ESP-IDF Blufi Example

This demo shows how to use the Blufi to configurate the Wi-Fi connection to AP.

The BluFi for ESP32 is a Wi-Fi network configuration function via Bluetooth channel. It provides a secure protocol to pass Wi-Fi configuration and credentials to the ESP32.

How to Use Example

Before project configuration and build, be sure to set the correct chip target using:

idf.py set-target <chip_name>

To test this demo, you need to prepare a mobile phone with blufi application installed. You can download the blufi application from Android version and iOS version.

Blufi is completely open source, here is the download link:

Hardware Required

  • A development board with ESP32/ESP32-C3 SoC (e.g., ESP32-DevKitC, ESP-WROVER-KIT, etc.)
  • A USB cable for Power supply and programming

See Development Boards for more information about it.

Build and Flash

Run idf.py -p PORT flash monitor to build, flash and monitor the project.

(To exit the serial monitor, type Ctrl-].)

See the Getting Started Guide for full steps to configure and use ESP-IDF to build projects.
