Note: There are three different versions of the CPLD firmware which you can program into the RGBtoHDMI board.

Each CPLD firmware version contains features that allow it to work with different types of source but it was not possible to fit all the required features into the CPLD at the same time so they have been split as follows:

The BBC CPLD supports capturing the BBC micro's mode 7 Teletext output
The RGB CPLD supports separate syncs and additional bit depths and multipliers etc.
The YUV CPLD supports YUV sub-sampling, leading sync edge triggering, PAL switch etc.

All three CPLDs support a common subset of features so some profiles will work with any version as long as they only use that subset but any profile that uses one of the special features will only work with that version of the CPLD firmware.

You can reprogram the CPLD firmware from the menus at any time so you can easily switch between BBC/RGB/YUV.
The limiting factor restricting which computers will work with your RGBtoHDMI is which hardware interface you are using (i.e. Analog or Digital) and the profiles available to select will change depending on which CPLD firmware you have programmed and which interface you are using.

Note as mentioned above, some profiles will work with multiple combinations of CPLD and interface which may be convenient as it saves having to reprogram the CPLD or change the interface if you want to select them.
